Benedict Rides

The video for Benedict Rides, a song by Merl Saunders and Pam Carrier, originally featured vocals from the Hawkins Family. It was pure early 70s greasy funk. When I was selecting some Saunders songs to cover, Merl Jr. suggested I do this one. I’m glad I did. My friends nailed it. I am releasing the video almost seven months before the album comes out. The song will appear on “3200 W 22nd Court.” in December, 2021.
